Wildlife includes any photos of animals (mammals, birds, insects, arachnids, fish, crustaceans, reptiles, amphibians, etc.) that are not domesticated. Plant Life includes photos of trees, plants, and mushrooms and other fungi. Landscape includes photos of scenery, the sky, weather, and fireworks (wildlife, people, and pets may appear in Landscape photos so long as they are part of a scene and not the main subject of the photo). People & Pets includes photos of people, dogs, cats, and other pets, as well as any farm or other domesticated animals.Photos by Young Photographers include any that are taken by a photographer 15 years of age and under at the time of taking the photo.

Please note that the judges may move an entry to another category if they consider that category to be the most appropriate.

Photos to be taken anywhere outdoors, in the Municipality of Murrysville.

There is a limit of three (3) photo entries per contestant.

Photos cannot have been entered in an earlier year's edition of the contest.

Entries must be received by midnight on December 31.

Entries must be digital photographs in jpeg format. 

Image manipulation shall be limited to cropping and minor color and contrast adjustments.  HDR photographs are not eligible for the contest.

Contestant must be the copyright owner of submitted entry.

By submitting photographic work, contestant grants hosting organizations the right to royalty-free reproduction of entries for publicity, display, and fund-raising, including sale of items using the images.  Every attempt will be made to credit the photographer where reasonably possible.

Limit of one prize per contestant.
